Shipping & Returns


Returns Policy

First of all, we want you to be happy with your purchase.  In cases where you are not pleased with your purchase, you may return the item provided it is in a new condition.  The return must be received by High Country Hobbies within 21 days of original delivery.  
The item(s) must be returned new condition in the original packaging. Any item, or the packaging containing it, that has been altered from its original condition as delivered will not be accepted as a return.  High Country Hobbies can only accept returns on items that were sold from "standard stock" in our store.  No item that was special ordered for you can be returned.

Before you return the item, please contact us at highcountryhobbies@gmail.com or at 334-489-4558 to notify us of your intention to return an item.

If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.

We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item).


Shipping

Unless special arrangements have been made prior to purchasing an item, we ship only to the United States and Canada. 

When you place an order, we will estimate shipping and delivery dates for you based on the availability of your items and the shipping options you choose. Depending on the shipping provider you choose, shipping date estimates may appear on the shipping quotes page.

Please also note that the shipping rates for many items we sell are weight-based. The weight of any such item can be found on its detail page. To reflect the policies of the shipping companies we use, all weights will be rounded up to the next full pound.

International Shipping

High Country Hobbies will ship to certain International destinations.  Buyer should email us at highcountryhobbies@gmail.com to ask about shipping to buyer's international address.  International buyers must also agree to the following conditions:

  1. Paypal must be used for payment.
  2. Item(s) must ship to buyer's approved paypal address.
  3. Custom's forms will contain actual purchase price for item.
  4. Any return shipping is the buyer's responsibility, no refunds will be made for original shipping costs paid should an item need to be returned.

Return Shipping

International customers acknowledge that the buyer is responsible for any shipping cost, original or return shipping.  A $3.00 handling fee is added to all shipments to Canada.  

You may return your item to us via UPS, USPS first class or USPS Priority Mail.  Whichever shipping service you select, we recommend the following.  Wrap and pack the item in a similar manner to how we packed it when we sent it to you.  Insure against loss/damage.  High Country Hobbies cannot be responsible for merchandise that is lost or damaged on its way back to us.

When returning a product, please include a note that explains why you are returning the item and whether you would like a refund or a replacement (if available) or a store credit.  Be sure to include all original product packaging, product instruction sheets, miscellaneous parts for the item, etc.
